Business Management Training

Great employees can be made through training.

Training is something all organizations agree is needed but disagree on investing in. Why? The answer is disillusionment.

a. The management sent some staff for training. These staff used these new qualifications to find themselves a better job somewhere else leaving the old company high and dry.
b.The management sent some staff for training. However, the impact of the training could not be found, not even a bit.
c.The training was conducted in the house, but more problems arose from it than solutions.

However, those are excuses by owners who mentally live in an era long gone. It was a time when physical goods were assets, importers ruled, scarcity was the norm, vendors were limited. Now times have changed. Mainly it is because there are more vendors and entrepreneurs. It has no more a battle over who gets the best dealership, it is now about who gets the best staff. With a great team of employees, normal products can be sold widely. But a great product with normal employees will not sell as much.

Great employees are not born, they are made through training. Julius Cesar knew this better than anyone. At a time when the fastest mode of communication was a horse, he managed to rule the world with the power of his army. Yes, he trained them well, very well. So well, that they could go to the nooks and corners of the world and rule. They were also so honest as to repatriate all the taxes collected to Rome wherever they were.

During the earthquake, armed forces were doing fine, disciplined, and dedicated. These are of course, of the Training.

Tackling the three disillusionment
a. Research shows that employees switch jobs because the previous company cannot provide enough factors for career growth. Rather than pointing fingers try to develop those factors.
b.Eating a powerful antibiotic one time will not heal you, shall it ?. How on earth do we think that two hours or a day training is enough where years at your company could not transform those people. Again continuous training is the future of a successful organization.
c.Sometimes medicines have a negative impact. It does not mean all medicines must be boycotted, does it ?.

There are three types of training

Training can be divided into three categories:
The management sent some staff for training. These staff used these new qualifications to find themselves a better job somewhere else leaving the old company high and dry.
Attitude training: The objective here is to change the way staff react to various events in the organization in terms of thinking as well as behavior. For example, how to deal with a situation where the workload is too much or the supervisor scolds all the time. In this category, integrity is also covered extensively, and without reservation – you cannot cheat the company without serious repercussions. This type of training is the first one we need to give the staff. Again, it must be continuous training.
Knowledge training: The objective is to give the staff product knowledge. The best is to design a course or curriculum for your company’s needs. Then prepare textbooks or kits of materials for reference. If that is not possible, tag new staff to old staff and tell them to learn the trade. But again it is best if the process could be facilitated continuously.

Skill training: The objective here is to really train staff to excel in the job through observable skills. Again, it can be through peer learning or a more structured training approach.
Hard skills: Word, Excel, accounting, fitting machines, etc.

Soft  skills: Leadership, salesmanship, negotiation, meeting facilitation, etc.
